| |  The Hammond Education Foundation, Inc., is a not-for-profit organization of dedicated volunteers committed to improving learning and teaching within the School City of Hammond by
- Funding innovative learning experiences
- Recognizing the educational accomplishments of students, educators and the community
- Supporting the School City of Hammond's continuous improvement effort
 The Hammond Education Foundation was incorporated in April, 1983, to provide a source of funding for classroom projects that could not be funded through the regular School City of Hammond budget. In 1990 the Foundation began providing scholarships to graduating seniors who wanted to continue their education. The Foundation created an Endowment Fund in 1997 to help ensure its financial longevity. In 2001 the Foundation created the Top Prize program to recognize quality grant programs in the School City of Hammond. Since its inception, the HEF has funded more than $1 million in special projects and scholarships.
 The Board of Directors of the Hammond Education Foundation is made up of 24 business, civic and educational volunteers. Each member of the Board also participates in at least one committee. Present committees include Governance, Marketing, Finance and Resource Development, Grants, and Scholarship. [ More... ]
 All Hammond Education Foundation corporate documents, including Articles of Incorporation, Bylaws, Board Meeting minutes, Federal and State tax forms, governing documents, policies and procedures, and financial statements are available for examination on request by appointment with the Executive Director at the HEF office in the School City of Hammond Administration Center.
