| | Hammond Education Foundation Grants provide funds to help teachers carry out innovative projects that prepare students for life and work. The grants are designed to encourage teachers, administrators, and others within the School City of Hammond to create special programs that cannot be funded through the regular school budget.
You can help fund these programs by making an online donation to the HEF through our secure online partner, Give2Schools.
The grant application process is simple, and the Hammond Education Foundation encourages proposals in all curricular areas. In support of the School City of Hammond's effort to increase student literacy, the HEF requires an element of literacy development in every proposal. The rubric used by the HEF Grants Committee is available to assist teachers in the grant-writing process.
The due date for Acorn Grant proposals is October, 2010
